Aim

Today there are fairly clear trends in emerging information technology (IT). These include development and/or applications of intelligent techniques for information processing (such as data mining, machine learning), bioinformatics, Web 2.0, wireless communication, wireless broadband Internet, advanced displays, digital convergence, intelligent user interaction, embedded systems, etc. This symposium aims to provide a forum of presentation, discussion, and learning of the trends in emerging information technology for researchers in diverse fields of IT, so as to shed light on their research and to identify areas of potential synergy. The symposium will be co-located with the Third International Conference on Information Management and Communication on 15-16 January 2009 on the Suwon, South Korea, campus of Sungkyunkwan University.
